Tyres for 13x45

Hi - Recently I bought my C4 from 1929. It was fitted with 18" tyres, which causes me some problems as well as i have flat tyres almost after each trip

Through Dakleader I bought some tyres, but they did not fit.

Question - what size fits 13x45 rims, and are they available? I can see you speak of other rims - where can they be bought?

-18 " size tyres dosn't fit according to the steel wheels dimensions
-The inside diameter is little bit too big
-You have to place 13x45 or better, 14 x 45

Hi. I do have 8 13x45 rims, so in this size I have enough. In another topic I read that another size of rims was an alternative. So if not possible to find 13x45 tyres, this could be a solution.

When I bought ny C4 it was fitted with 18" tyres on 13x45 rims, and I am not happy with it

-No , Flemming , there is'nt an other solution. You have to plce 13x45 or better 14 x 45

Some late C4 and Rosalie had 40 rims (it means 40cm of diameter)(instead of 45.). This size was still used in the 50's on many french cars, but was then called 400 (for 400mm). So you can find this 400 tires easily in vintage tires shops.
BUT these 40 rims were only available in 5 holes (I think...)

Anyway 13/14 x 45 are available too in most vintage tires shops...:

I myself run 16' tires on 40 rims. It's approximatively the same difference of diameter than your 18' on 45 rims. As long as I center the tires properly on the rims when I inflate them, I find them round enough..!

-You have nevertheless to know that , on the CITROEN C4A and AC4 the rim diameter is only 45 but no in 40 (or 400 )
